About Misión San José
Mision San José is a restaurant-bar featuring a unique terrace overlooking Mijares Square, the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset or the famous Thursday Art Walk. We offer contemporary Mexican cuisine with specialties such as birria chilaquiles, birria grilled cheese, tacos, and seafood dishes, along with artisan pizzas, pastas, burgers, and steaks.

This gem of a restaurant has an amazing view of the plaza from its upstairs seating area. The excellence of the staff was eclipsed only by the food and the drinks. The food was extremely good and unique. I have not had a better drink experience! Do yourself a favor and try this spot. Come on Thursdays to enjoy the artist market from the best vantage point in the area. Jonathan was absolutely amazing!
One of the best places in town if not THE BEST a must if you are in town with a great view. Food and service was great and I will definitely be coming back. 100% recommended!
Amazing service by Jonathan and others! The watermelon margarita he recommended was the best we’ve ever had, very fresh and flavorful. Great terrace above the plaza to watch the sunset light up the sky behind the mountains and watch locals and tourists enjoy their evening. Tasty food and drinks!
